Just saw on the national forest "r8" page that the Sheltowee is closed at the Caney loop for "Maintenance". Does this mean Bulldozers and Gravel like it sometimes has before in this area? It would be tragic to lose the charachter of one of my favorite, if poorly maintained, sections. |

Why does it need rebuilding? Could trail damage be a problem? Would horses be the culprit? _________________ Help map trails by submitting your waypoints and trail photos. |

I went through that area last fall coming from Clifty wilderness on my way to the Dam and was suprised to see the trail in that condtion. Very rough walking.... I later found out that they were fixing the bad drainage in the area by burying drainage tiles. Not sure when it will ready for use but it looks to be a long time before it will get done! |
