I have found out that almost $150,000.00 of stimulus money was used to have a contractor come in from Whitley City and do trail maintenance from Cumberland Falls south to 4.6 miles south of US 27, from Big South Fork NRRA Boundary to the Ky Tennnessee line.

Don't know for sure when it starts but it is for t...rail clearing, tree removal etc. Folks if you are down that way keep an eye out for how your money is being spent and let us know if you notice a difference. This is about 30 miles of the Sheltowee Trace.

Additional sections of other trails in the Stearns District were also in the contract.
