Mapping the Sheltowee

In September, The Sheltowee Trace Associaton was formed. This volunteer-based organization is dedicated to the preservation and management of the natural, scenic, historic, and cultural resources associated with the Sheltowee Trace National Recreational Trail in order to provide primitive outdoor-recreation and educational opportunities for Trail visitors.

Your invited to join The Sheltowee Trace Association. Attached is the application for membership. To save start-up cost, we ask you to download and printout the application and mail it in with your check, cash, or money order. Checks should be made out to The Sheltowee Trace Association.

All application received between November 1st and December 31st will be entered in a drawing for one night stay at either Natural Bridge State Park or Cumberland Falls State Park.

Hello Feet,

NO link to my thruhike trail journal. Didn't get to do the long hike this summer.

If you are on facebook just go to the groups icon, should be lower left hand corner, a group of people, click and enter in search, the sheltowee trace. It will bring you to the page and you just click to join.

Twitter is the same, join or if you are already a member there, just search sheltowee trace and connect.

Hope you will join the association and help us maintain and grow Ky's Long Trail.

How often in life do we get the chance to be a part of a movement, a part of the initial group that organizes and supports something special. Think about it.

Right now we are accepting "founding member" application for the association. After December 31 we will continue to build our membership base on this foundation.

Why not give the gift that is special, a membership in the association. The application is in this thread. Help us reach our goal of 100 founding members by the end of the month by joining today.

As our way of saying thank you we will send you a patch or bumper sticker along with a membership card and founding member certificate.

Please download the application today and send it with cash, check, or money order to the address on the application.
